abuse and vocations to priesthood

whilst doing my clergy sexual abuse cuttings this morning find a page from the Irish Catholic Standard nov 1st 2002. Full page on abuse with headings 'Hand over files says priests conference, child protection office needs more power, we werent given time to respond to RTE says archdiocese, gardai will not answer questions over abuse, ferns inquiry to start in january. then lo and behold bottom left a large ad for 'Vocations' (to priesthood.) De La Salle brothers call men to serve in a world 'troubled and unhappy' (they have had large abuse issues) the world missionary and development work asks for men (Rosmininans) The Marianists (who hhave had huge abuse cases) ask for men to serve adult mentally handicapped (sic) canons regular, sisters of mercy , and guess what The Norbertines (brendan Smyth's order) calling men to parish, education and other ministries.

Only a Catholic paper could juxtapose abuse issues and vocations to priesthood on the same page! sickening.

what about justice?

i would imagine victims want more than to 'clear the air'...
